ABOUT US

For 165 years,
Knox has served as a beacon
for those seeking to do God's work,
not only in the heart of Burlington,
but in the far reaches of God's world.

When Knox celebrated its 100th anniversary in 1945,
it was noted that it was the second oldest church in the community,
11 years younger than St. Luke's (Anglican).
But with the amalgamation
of Aldershot and Nelson Townships in 1958,
St. Paul's (on Highway 5) became the oldest,
tracing its roots back to 1816.

Our Knox congregation worshipped for many years
in what is now called the Bell Tower Room,
until the present sanctuary was erected in 1877.

2010 marked the 100th anniversary
of the installation of the Campbell Memorial Window in the narthex.,
a gift of the Hon. Colin Campbell,
former attorney-general of Manitoba,
in memory of his mother,
a member of Knox in the late 1800's.

Today, more people are finding their way
into the life and ministry of Knox,
each one offering the gifts, talents, and skills
bestowed upon them by the Holy Spirit.

As expected, we face many new challenges,
but they are the fuel of learning and commitment.
